Get the most out of the school holidays. We know that the school holidays are always a lot of fun when you've got kids - it's lovely to have the little ones around the house and to find time to do things as a family. However, it can be a little tough to fill all those hours they'd usually spend at school with activities and games! To help you out, we've put together a quick list of a few of our favourite family friendly recipes and ideas.

Movie nights

The cinema can be an expensive afternoon out when you're a family, and the cost of tickets and sweets soon adds up. Instead of heading out to see a film, why not stage a movie marathon day? Rent a few new releases from a site like Amazon or iTunes, let the kids make a fort to watch from, and relax. It's also a great excuse to use a Prestige popcorn maker - experiment by adding different flavours to your freshly popped popcorn, like drizzles of melted chocolate or peanut butter. You can download your free popcorn recipe ebook here.,

Little chefs

Get the kids in the kitchen over half term with super easy Prestige recipes like this one for Rice Krispies® Chicken Nuggets. The kids will love bashing up the puffed rice cereal and coating bits of chicken with the mixture - all you have to do is supervise and do the actual cooking part. Hopefully it'll be the start of good habits when it comes to sharing the cooking duties in the future! ,

Get outdoors

Ah the great outdoors! We're privileged to have access to forests, mountains, countryside and breathtaking coastlines in the UK, so we really should make the most of them when we can! Pack a flask of homemade soup, some nuts and dried fruits; wrap up warm (don't forget the wellies!) and go exploring. For bonus parent points, put together 'wildlife bingo' cards, so the kids can keep their eyes peeled for critters. Feeling more prepared to tackle the holidays? With minimal preparation, and a few handy kitchen gadgets, you can easily make the holiday time an enjoyable, and even relaxing, time for all the family.
