Orange and Honey-Glazed Roast Ham

This festive orange and honey-glazed roast ham can be served either warm or cold and is the perfect Christmas centrepiece at the dinner table for a feast with friends and family. If you've got any left overs after the big day this ham is great accompanied with salad.

Instructions

1Put the ham in a large pot, cover it with water, bring to the boil and then discard the water

2Cover the ham with some fresh water and this time, add in the celery, onions, carrots and bay leaves

3Bring to the boil, cover and simmer for 20 minutes per 500g (in this case 1 hour and 40 minutes)

4Remove the ham from the water, transfer to the roasting tray and let it cool

5Preheat the oven 200C / gas 6 and make the glaze by mixing the orange juice and honey together until well combined

6Pull the skin off the ham (careful not to take any fat off), score the fat and transfer the ham into a lined oven tray. Brush half of the glaze all over the ham

7Bake for 10 minutes, and then add the rest of the glaze and bake for a further 10 minutes.
